Reinhard Wolff is this year's winner of the Global DIY Lifetime Award. The Managing Partner of Wolfcraft and President of the European manufacturers' association Hima will receive the award at a gala dinner at the Global DIY Summit in Lisbon on 12 June 2025.
For more than four decades, Reinhard Wolff has played a pivotal role in shaping the DIY and home improvement industry, according to the organisers of the Summit, who are presenting the award. He took over the management of Wolfcraft in 1982 from his father Robert Wolff, who founded the company in 1949. Under Reinhard Wolff's guidance, Wolfcraft has expanded into more than 50 countries. It offers a product range of more than 3,000 items and is recognised as the leading company in the German DIY sector.
As President of Hima, the Home Improvement Manufacturers Association, Wolff Wolff has been instrumental in strengthening the collaboration of manufacturers in Europe and their global presence, it is said.
Thierry Garnier, CEO of Kingfisher and President of the international DIY association Edra/Ghin, emphasises Wolff's “exceptional commitment to sustainability, innovation and the people behind the business. His contributions have been invaluable to the home improvement sector."
César Navarro, Vice President of Hima and Head of the Spanish Cintacor Group, emphasised Wolff's leadership and efficiency, “bringing together national associations to form a unified and influential organization. Thanks to his efforts, Hima has become the leading representative of European home improvement manufacturers, working closely with Edra/Ghin to drive industry progress."
John W. Herbert, Secretary General of Edra/Ghin, calls Wolff “a pillar of our industry” and emphasises his “leadership and long-standing service. His commitment to strengthening the Hima network and supporting industry-wide collaboration exemplifies true servant leadership.”
Iñaki Maillard, Managing Director of the Global DIY Summit, explains the award: “The Global DIY-Lifetime Award honors individuals who have left a lasting mark on our industry, and Reinhard Wolff is a truly deserving recipient.”
The two associations Edra/Ghin and Hima jointly organise the Global DIY Summit.
