DIY world market leader Home Depot recorded a year-on-year decline in sales of 1.8 per cent to USD 159.514 bn (EUR 152.182 bn) in the 2024/2025 financial year (ending: 2 February 2025). Like-for-like, the US chain's sales also fell by 1.8 per cent.
The first quarter was responsible for the decline. In the second, Home Depot maintained its sales compared to the previous year, and from the third quarter onwards, the company reported growth again. It ended the fourth quarter with a 14.1 per cent increase in sales to USD 39.704 bn (EUR 37.885 bn). However, like-for-like sales rose by only 0.8 per cent, and by 1.3 per cent in the US. In addition, the fourth quarter comprised 14 weeks, one more than in the 2023/2024 financial year.
