The conflict with neighbouring Canada sparked by the new US rulers has reached the home improvement industry. The Canadian DIY store operator Rona has announced a campaign for more than 6,500 products manufactured in Canada and is working with the non-profit organisation ‘Well made here’. As the market leader in the residential renovation sector with more than 425 locations, the company is responding to the growing demand from end consumers and contractors who want to prioritise local products, Rona announced in a press release.

J. P. Towner, President and CEO of Rona, makes a direct reference to the campaign in a statement quoted therein: “We’ve always had a strong selection of Canadian-made products.
