Ace Hardware disappears from Indonesia

After 29 years, the presence of the US brand Ace Hardware in Indonesia has come to an end. The Indonesian franchisee, the Kawan Lama group, has allowed the licence agreement with the US cooperative to expire at the end of 2024. The 248 stores will now be managed by the Kawan Lama subsidiary PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk (AHI) under the Azko brand. Among other things, this emphasises the local roots of the operators.
