Hornbach remains stable in Germany and grows abroad

The Hornbach DIY stores closed the 2024/2025 financial year (ending 28 February 2025) with sales growth. In Germany, however, sales were down slightly on the previous year.

Sales at Hornbach Baumarkt AG, in which the Hornbach Group operates its retail activities, rose by 1.2 percent to EUR 5.847 bn; on a like-for-like basis and net of currency items, sales grew by 1.1 percent. The stores in Germany accounted for EUR 2.784 bn of this figure, 0.1 per cent less than in the previous financial year.

In other European countries, on the other hand, there was an increase of 2.4 per cent. Here, Hornbach's stores generated sales totalling EUR 3.063 bn. This means that the international share has risen to 52.4 per cent.

The Hornbach Group as a whole, which also includes the sales of Hornbach Baustoff-Union (-6.2 percent), increased its consolidated net sales by 0.6 percent to EUR 6.200 bn. A higher…
