Home improvement trade in the USA remains at previous year’s level

Home improvement stores in the USA did not grow in the first quarter of 2025. With sales of USD 105.269 bn (EUR 92.155 bn), they remained exactly at the previous year's level (change rate 0.0 per cent). This is according to data from the United States Census Bureau. The NAICS 444 category (North American Industry Classification) covers DIY retail, gardening and professional services in the industry. In March, industry sales amounted to USD 40.333 bn (EUR 35.308 bn), up 4.3 per cent on the March 2024 figure. In contrast, the industry's sales in February were down 6.0 per cent on the same month last year at USD 31.789 bn (EUR 27.830 bn).
