As long ago as last spring Schellenberg, well-known as a supplier to DIY superstores of products covering “everything to do with windows and doors”, extended its expertise in the field of drive systems for roller shutters to the area of electrical control products for gates and doors. The company has now developed a complete range of products for all standard types of gates and doors. The main focus is on control systems for swing and sliding gates, as well as for the garage doors most commonly installed in Germany. Here the customer can choose between three models, from the starter price class up to high-quality door openers for double garages. The company’s claim to represent quality is underlined by a five-year guarantee.

As an aid to selling the products at the point of sale the company presents the gate and door openers – rounded off by a comprehensive range of accessories – on a merchandiser forming part of the racking, or as a stand-alone version. Both variants are equipped with sales literature and an informative panel. The presentational possibilities are complemented by special display offers.
In the area of automated roller shutters the range offers versatile solutions: in addition to tubular motors within the shaft, and a wide choice of control possibilities including timers, shutter switches and multiple wiring by relay, there are also shutter belt drives, with the help of which the shutters can be automated without costing anything for repairs after installation. A cooperative agreement with Rademacher, the company that invented the belt-driver, has led to the addition of the “rolloAutomat” series of belt-winders to the range.

A novelty for the DIY retail sector now being offered by Schellenberg is the swivelling belt- winder for surface installation. The recessed versions can also be quickly substituted for traditional flush winders and completed by the addition of a sun and twilight sensor. The company is willing to supply retailers with a variety of sales aids such as a POS video and comprehensive literature.
