From as long ago as 1950 the company has been developing machines for working wood and metal. All their machines and tools are made according to their own engineers’ specifications by companies in Taiwan and China. “Our product lines enjoy a good image all over the world and carry conviction as a result of their excellent price/performance ratio,” in the words of Marcel Baumgartner, who has responsibility for launching Jet on the European market. The group’s aim in Europe is to introduce competitive products at good prices by means of synergies with Jet USA in the development of innovative products. The customer profile includes DIY outlets and relatively small woodworking specialists, who aim to offer a complete programme up to and including extractor systems. Particular emphasis is put on after-sales service.
The Jet 16-32-Plus is a continuous-duty drum sander.
Full programme of machines
Jet offers a full programme of machines for sawing, planing, grinding, shaping, turning and drilling operations. Included is a panel saw with a sliding table of great rigidity and strength made of anodized extruded aluminium . Then there are the bandsaws that feature a swivel head that tilts by 45 degrees. Also in the programme are a planer/moulder combination machine, a table milling machine and shaper/mortisers.
For drilling work the company offers a complete programme of drill presses. A rapid change of spindle speed is made possible by a quick adjustment system. Added to this are woodworking lathes and sanders. The programme is rounded off by dust collectors, which can also be fitted with filtration systems.
The JWBS-14 and -18 bandsaws can be tilted by 45 degrees.
Safety standards
All machines destined for Europe are CE tested and conform to the latest CE technical standards. Several machines, such as the planer/moulder, the bandsaws and the milling machines, also conform to the additional GS safety standard, “tested for dust collection”.
Production in China and Taiwan is supervised by the company’s own engineers, as is the final inspection at the supplier’s works.
