The new fair aims to present the range of products offered by Asian suppliers in concentrated format to European visitors.
Over 500 companies will be introducing their products at the first event of this kind, and around 20 group stands from expanding markets such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand are expected. Overall the exhibitors will occupy a gross exhibition area of 32 000 m² in Halls 13.1 and 13.2.
The product range at Asia-Pacific Sourcing is divided into three areas: “Hardware + DIY” is the largest segment with around 60 per cent of the exhibitors, followed by “Garden + Leisure” (30 per cent) and “Ambience” (10 per cent). The product classification used for Gafa, Spoga and the International Hardware Fair/Practical World, all Cologne fairs, forms the basis for this particular event as well. “Hardware + DIY” includes tools, locks and fittings, do-it-yourself, tradesmen’s products, ironmongery and wire products, plus fasteners and fixings. To be found under “Garden + Leisure” are outdoor furniture, gardening tools, barbecues, camping, sporting goods and toys, in addition to leisure articles, and the “Ambiente” segment offers glassware, porcelain, ceramics and table decoration, lighting, seasonal articles and gift items.

Asia-Pacific Sourcing and its range of products is directed first and foremost at trade visitors from Europe and North America. All the mass-market European traders and the leading buyers from the US and Canada are expected to attend: the focus is on attracting visitors who represent DIY stores and garden centres, the glass, porcelain and ceramics trade, hypermarkets, discount stores and buying cooperatives as well as wholesalers, importers and exporters, and mail order firms.
