The Italian company Uniflex, which has its headquarters at Montereale Valcellina, offers its product programme under three brand names: Uniflex, Celina and Trico-net. The Uniflex brand is represented both in traditional hardware outlets and in the big garden centre and DIY chains, while the Celina brand, created in 1992, is distributed through supermarkets and hypermarkets, where the company says it is making very satisfactory progress. Trico-net has been on the market since the year 2000. The name stands for a comprehensive programme of double braided garden hoses reinforced by a knitted inner layer that are capable of withstanding high pressure loadings. These products are distributed not only in Italy but throughout Europe and the entire world, where they generate sales in excess of € 16 mio.
This versatile spray gun is new to the programme.
In 2002 the company added a new range of pressure sprayers to the product palette, and one year later a range of brass hose fittings was also included in the programme. Uniflex provides cutting tools and small gardening tools in its product offer as well.
The history of the company goes back to the year 1968, when the first Italian snap-on hose fitting was made. One year later a complete watering system had been developed, then in 1972 came plastic hose reels, followed by oscillating water sprinklers. In the eighties the company changed its name to Uniflex Utiltime, launched the universal snap-on system and introduced an automatic watering system as well as a range of drip watering system products. An underground irrigation system has been available since 1994, and in that same year the Morassutti family took control of the company. The Morassutti group also includes other companies that are active in the DIY sector.
Uniflex supports retailers with a range of POS solutions.
Since Uniflex attaches great importance to the subject of quality, it achieved UNI EN ISO 9001 certification as long ago as 1996. One year later saw the development of automatic control units designed by the F.A. Porsche studio. And the company's commitment to the environment was confirmed when it obtained UNI EN ISO 14001 certification.
