Interest within the industry was great, the response at the fair extremely positive – reason enough for the publishing house of Dähne and Koelnmesse to present another edition of the “Water Power” forum for new products at Spoga+Gafa 2006. This is a competition that offers exhibitors the opportunity to present their new products from the categories of water, pond and garden lighting technology in an eye-catching setting. As at the initial event two years ago, a special forum covering an area well in excess of 100 m2 will be available to house the display. The architect-designed stand will ensure that the competing products are presented in an appropriate setting. Location: Hall 10.1, Stand A48.
All exhibitors in the Water and Outdoor Lighting categories are eligible to enter their new products in the Water Power competition. An independent jury consisting of representatives from retailing, industry, the trade press and professional associations will judge the entries. Their criteria are based on quality, functionality, design and ease of use. Awards will be made to the products in first, second and third place. The three winners will be awarded a certificate and the right to use a special “innovative product” mark on their products.
The jury will meet for the final assessment on the Saturday directly preceding the fair, so that the distinctive marks can be used during the course of the fair. The official awards ceremony will then be held on the morning of the first day of the fair, Sunday 3 September, at the Water Power stand. The companies singled out for the awards can continue to use the logo for their advertising activities after the fair as well.
Those wishing to participate in the New Products Forum should apply to Koelnmesse (Karen Pudlat, Tel. +49/221/821-3073, k.pudlat@koelnmesse.de, or Fabian Ströter, Tel. –2811, f.stroeter@koelnmesse.de).
Dähne Verlag is heavily involved in the subject of water in the garden through its selection of trade magazines. What is more the publishing house brings out a special interest consumer magazine called Gartenteich, and has also developed a water garden programme in its book section.
