The 5th DIY and Household Retail Forum will take place in Moscow on 26 and 27 May, 2011. It will include a full two-day conference programme and a small exhibition of selected suppliers to the industry. Last year, when the list of speakers included such names as Kingfisher boss Ian Cheshire, the event attracted 350 participants. “It is our fastest-growing conference in terms of the number of participants,” says Dominic Manley, international development director of the B2B Conference Group, which is organising the event. For 2011 the organisers have signed an agreement to produce the forum in association with the European DIY Retailers Association (Edra). Fediyma, a manufacturers’ association, will also be represented at the congress this year by Francois Corda, vice president of Dyrup. Moreover, the magazine DIY International will be accompanying the event as a media partner. Chief executives of DIY, household and interior goods chains will number among the participants in Moscow (2010: 55 per cent), together with manufacturers and suppliers of such goods (24 per cent). The programme also features a gala dinner with the presentation of the National DIY Retail Awards. All sessions will be simultaneously interpreted into and out of English. Download:
