The tenth generation of the family is now headed by the CEO Franz Neuhofer jun. and the eleventh generation is not far behind: His daughter Victoria Neuhofer who studied timber engineering and business management, joined the sales division at the end of March.
When Neuhofer speaks about the recent figures, you would never think that he was presenting such a remarkable development. “Last year wasn’t too bad“, is just one of his typical understatements, because “not bad” really means: the turnover figures increased by more than 4.2 per cent to € 42.5 mio. From which, 90 per cent was achieved from the exports to 70 countries.
He gives two important reasons for this growth: The turnover from existing customers increased substantially, because these customers have, in turn, expanded their own businesses.
The other reason is that Neuhofer is continuously supplying new innovations. Thus, the sales areas for Neuhofer products in the DIY stores is growing just as steadily and accounts for approximately half of the revenue. The remaining 35 per cent comes from the wholesale business and 15 per cent from the floor covering industry.
A recent example of this is the new range of picture frames, which came on the market this year with the aim of developing a second source of income. The FN Digiprint technology, developed by the company, offers photo-realistic print quality and individual designs.
The number of impressive figures is unending: Neuhofer has a range of around 1 800 products. More than 1 000 different skirting and flooring profile geometries in more than 2 000 different designs are kept in stock.
