Baumax’s objective is to have a presence in the country’s bigger towns and cities

Baumax intends to open a store in Split by the end of this year, which will increase the company’s presence in Croatia to four outlets. The Austrian market leader has as its objective representation in the bigger Croatian towns and cities over the next few years. Varazdin is where it opened a first branch in the country at the end of 2000. Then in the 2003 financial year the DIY stores in western Zagreb and in Osijek went into operation. The company puts a figure of 21 800 m² on its overall retail area in Croatia.
