The internet is becoming more and more popular in Europe. Today it is not only being used as a source of information but is increasingly turning into a trading platform, as in Japan and America. The European Consumer Barometer 2008, a survey from the Dresdner-Cetelem Bank that looks into consumer behaviour in 13 European countries, reveals that as much as 15 per cent of the volume of trade in Europe is expected to be generated through the internet by 2010. Further information from the survey on the use of the internet as a trading platform can be found under the Trade Topics heading in DIYglobal plus. (v. Other Articles on this Topic)
