Pre-Christmas spending and annual sales in the UK are stagnant

This year for the first time since 2008 the British retailers’ pre-Christmas trade will not show any growth, according to calculations made by Deloitte, a management consultancy. It forecasts sales to the tune of £ 36.2 bn, which is the same level as last year. It also expects that the overall annual sales of the retail sector in the UK will remain at a standstill until 2013.
