Poor results for Wickes

Wickes, the British DIY store operator, had to take a like-for-like sales decline of 6.1 per cent in the first four months of this year. For the most part the company blames the poor weather for this development. Even though the sales figures have picked up again in the meantime, Wickes doubts that it will be possible to quite make up for the shortfalls experienced in the first few months during the rest of the year.
