Sales of the DIY stores six per cent down in the first nine months of 2013

Sales of the DIY retailers in Italy shrank by 5.9 per cent to a volume of € 2.2 bn for the first nine months of last year. The only month with a positive rate of year-on-year growth was September with an increase of 1.3 per cent, according to a report in Brico Magazine, a trade publication. In February and March the shortfalls even reached double digits.
