Rinat Mukhametvaleev, hitherto CEO of Trest SKM is leaving the company

Rinat Mukhametvaleev is leaving his executive chair at Trest SKM. The CEO of the company, which operates the DIY chains Stroy Arsenal and Superstroy has, with effect from 1st June 2014, made his position available. He has held this position since 2011. The stepping down was agreed on half a year ago with the shareholders of the company, Mukhametvaleev said in an interview. “I have worked in this company for eight and a half years, now it’s time to move on” he commented on his decision. He does not say exactly where his path will take him, but one thing is certain, he will continue to be active as the chairman of the board of the Russian cooperation Soyuz DIY (Union DIY). Regarding his successor in the company he only made known that he/she “will be a person who has been connected with Trest SKM for five years”. Rinat Mukhametvaleev completed his management studies and the local academy for civil service in his home republic of Bashkortostan. Furthermore he graduated from business schools in London and Madrid. Since 2002, he has worked in various management functions of the Russian DIY industry and was also active on the executive board of the European DIY-Retail Association Edra.
