Philippe Zimmermann to become new head of Groupe Adeo

A change is imminent at the top of Groupe Adeo. Damien Delaplanque, who has been with the corporation since 1973 and CEO of the DIY store division since 1993, is handing the reins to Philippe Zimmermann (45) at the end of June. Zimmermann has been a member of the executive board since 2014 with responsibility for operations relating to large-format DIY stores, for stepping up the cross-channel transformation and for the corporate supply chain in procurement as well as overseeing Leroy Merlin in Russia. He joined the corporation in 1993 and was head of Leroy Merlin France from 2007 to 2014.
Damien Delaplanque is to become chairman of the Human Resources Strategy Commission, which is being expanded to include the aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethics.
