Chris Wilesmith has relinquished his role as CEO of Mitre 10 New Zealand. He resigned from his post to return home to Australia on a permanent basis, according to a company press release. While the role was always an Auckland-based one, he had been commuting between Auckland and Coffs Harbour on a regular basis due to family commitments. The recent disruption of borders closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic had made this travel very challenging, however. The board has commenced a formal process to find a replacement CEO. Wilesmith only took over at the helm of Mitre 10 New Zealand in September 2019.
