Coop in Switzerland becomes a member of the Arena purchasing cooperative

Following the takeover of the DIY store chain Jumbo, the Swiss Coop group becomes a member of the international DIY store alliance Arena. The background is that in 2021, first the Arena member Jumbo and then, after the takeover, Coop with its DIY sales channel Bau + Hobby became an associated shareholder of the German Hagebau cooperative; Hagebau is a founding member of Arena. Founded in 2000, this purchasing cooperative now has eight members: Groupement Les Mousquetaires in France, the trade cooperative Hagebau in Germany, Coop in Switzerland, Gruppo Bricofer in Italy, Baucenter in Russia, Dedeman in Romania, Pevex in Croatia and Maxeda DIY Group in the Benelux countries.
