South African home improvement chain Cashbuild has increased its e-commerce sales by 276 percent in the 2021/2022 financial year (ending 26 June 20229. However, this means that online sales still only account for 0.16 per cent of the company's total turnover, with a volume of ZAR 18.2 million (EUR 1 million). "Although still small, this remains an area of focus and Cashbuild now has the e-commerce offering with the widest reach in our category in the country," writes CEO Walter de Jager in the annual report.
