The German cooperative Eurobaustoff has increased its centrally invoiced sales in 2022 by around 9 per cent to almost EUR 9.1 bn. The retail goods sector grew by just under 1 per cent. Here, the cooperation points to the many price changes as well as at times severely disrupted supply chains, in addition to a strong reluctance to buy in the fourth quarter due to consumer uncertainty in connection with energy costs. Eurobaustoff's core business is building materials trading.
In the past financial year, the cooperation added eight new shareholders to its ranks. Another seven companies joined on 1 January 2023. With these additions, the cooperation currently (as of March 2023) has 450 partners with 1 683 locations in Germany, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland.
