The British DIY and household goods chain Wilko is insolvent and will be wound up. The liquidator, PwC, announced earlier this week that it would close the remaining 346 stores and the two central warehouses, but then announced the acquisition of 71 sites by Pepco Group. Previously, there had already been an agreement with B&M to take over 51 locations. In total, the company had about 9 100 employees at last count.
