Hendrik Voigt, Obi's long-standing sales director for Eastern Europe, has been appointed country manager for Germany with effect from 1 December. In the newly created position of country manager, Voigt will assume responsibility for the business in Germany and report directly to chief officer CE Peter Tepaß. Hendrik Voigt has been with Germany's largest DIY store operator since 1998 and was most recently sales director responsible for the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary.
"The central management of our German business with a strong sales focus is a newly created role that supports us in the German domestic market and is responsible among other things for the successful further development of our digital and stationary consulting concepts such as the garden planner, bathroom planner and kitchen planner as well as for implementing the central point of contact for advice in the market, the 'MachBar'," says Peter Tepaß, describing the role.
