Quarterly sales at Lowe's fall by almost 13 per cent

The US DIY giant Lowe's recorded a 12.8 per cent drop in sales in the third quarter (ending 3 November) of its 2023/2024 financial year. Sales totalled USD 20.471 bn (EUR 18.754 bn). On a like-for-like basis, sales fell by 7.4 per cent. According to the company, DIY sales were primarily responsible for the sharp decline, while professional sales performed better.

In the first nine months of the financial year, Lowe's generated sales of USD 67.775 bn (EUR 62.090 bn). This was 9.2 per cent less than in the same period last year.
