The US home improvement chain Lowe's plans to open ten to 15 new stores per year in fast-growing markets in the U.S. in the coming years. With these new stores, the company expects to strengthen its brand position, build its customer base and drive incremental sales and return on invested capital.

The expansion policy is part of the ‘2025 Total Home Strategy’, which the world's second-largest DIY store operator presented in December. The strategy includes a stronger focus on professional customers and the expansion of the online product range through the initial launch of the first product marketplace in the U.S home improvement industry.

In terms of location policy, Lowe's announces its intention to extend its rural assortments to 150 more stores, bringing everything needed for farm and home under one roof. The rural store count will grow to nearly 500 locations.
