International Hardware Fair India exceeds expectations

More than 7 500 trade visitors travelled to New Delhi for the premiere of the International Hardware Fair India. More than 200 international exhibitors presented their products at the Pragati Maidan Conference and Exhibition Centre from 2 to 4 December 2023. The new event "powered by Eisenwarenmesse" was organised by the German trade fair company Koelnmesse. According to the organisers, the number of visitors exceeded all expectations.

India's hardware sector is booming, emphasise the organisers. The hand tools sector is expected to reach a volume of USD 416.2 mio (EUR 386.6 bn) by 2029; the volume of industrial fasteners is expected to reach INR 460 bn (EUR 5.1 bn) by 2023. With the government initiative "Atmanirbhar Bharat", which primarily supports small and medium-sized enterprises, the country aims to achieve an export volume of USD 1 trillion (EUR 929 billion) by 2030.
