Flex-Verwaltungs GmbH & Co KG is taking over the former Flex Scandinavia AB from the Ahlsell Group with effect from 1 June.
With this acquisition, the Chinese Chervon Group, which owns the Flex and Ego brands, is expanding its presence in the Swedish and Scandinavian markets in the power tool and outdoor power equipment sector in particular. This was reported by Chervon in a press release today.
Karlstad will remain the headquarters for future expansion in Sweden.
By integrating Flex Scandinavia into the Chervon Group's global network, the company aims to extend its reach, improve the efficiency of its supply chain and bring new products to market even faster. The use of a shared infrastructure in Sweden will enable synergy effects, which should lead to sustainable growth for all brands within the Chervon Group.
Professionals can look forward to a growing selection of high-quality power tools and cordless garden tools, Chervon promises. An in-house repair workshop and a spacious warehouse with its own repair service will also increase service and product availability.
The Flex brand, headquartered in Steinheim/Murr in southern Germany, has been developing power tools for use on construction sites, in workshops and garages for over 100 years. Ego produces a comprehensive range of cordless garden tools. Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Nanjing, China, the Chervon Group is a global supplier of power tools and outdoor equipment. The value chain includes research and development, procurement, manufacturing, testing, marketing, sales and after-sales service of "high-quality solutions".
