The Chilean DIY chain Sodimac has opened its 14th store in Mexico. Covering a sales area of 8,400 m², the branch is in Monterrey, where Sodimac already operates two other stores. The opening is part of the expansion strategy for North America announced in 2023, according to a report by the South American business service DF Sud, which was shared on LinkedIn by Eduardo de Vries, CEO of Sodimac Mexico.
Sodimac is the DIY sales line of the Chilean retail group Falabella. It has been active in Mexico since 2018. Another store is due to open in Guadalajara this year.
