Indonesian home improvement retailer PT Carturkarda Depo Bangunan Tbk posted an incremental rise in its net sales in the first half of the year after it was kept afloat by slight improvements in the showing of its two biggest categories. In a disclosure to the Indonesian bourse, the company reported net sales of 1.307 trillion Indonesian rupiah (IDR, EUR 76.418 mio)  for the period of January to June 2024.

Building materials, the company’s biggest category, made up almost 60 per cent to the total take, accounting for IDR 782.204 bn. This was 2.81 per cent higher than in the first half of 2023. This was followed by finishing materials, which contributed 37.83 per cent of the total turnover with IDR 494.527 bn (up 1.41 per cent). Other categories accounted for IDR 28.919 bn (down 0.85 per cent), or 2.12 per cent of the total sales for the period.
