Lidl denies Parkside store in Poland

The German discounter Lidl has denied reports that it has opened a store in Poland dedicated entirely to its own Parkside brand of tools. DIY International had also reported on such reports; Lidl's press office has only now responded to the editorial team's enquiry. However, it has confirmed the opening of a Parkside store in Budapest, writing: ‘This store will exclusively market Parkside products as part of a pop-up concept.’ This is a country-specific marketing measure by Lidl Hungary.

In contrast, Lidl is active online throughout Europe with its own Parkside shop. Online shops for all 27 member states of the European Union are listed at parkside-diy.com - in some cases with several language versions, such as for Belgium. There are also separate shops for Switzerland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
