The German garden tool supplier Al-Ko Gardentech is to be taken over by the Chinese manufacturer Ningbo Daye Garden Machinery. The Chinese company has announced that the takeover is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2025.
In the European market, the intention is to continue Al-Ko's business, brands, locations and sales structures, according to Al-Ko. Globally, there are new opportunities to expand the business.
According to the company, Daye Garden is one of the largest manufacturers and the fastest growing Chinese manufacturer of electric garden tools and irrigation products. The company's 150,000 square metre site has a production facility with a building area of 80,000 square metres. The company employs more than 1,200 people. It was founded by James Ye, who continues to lead the company as CEO.
