The International Hardware Fair is getting an branch in Indonesia. The International Hardware Fair (IHF) Indonesia - powered by Eisenwarenmesse is to take place in Jakarta from 24 to 27 September 2025.

This is the result of a strategic partnership between Koelnmesse and Traya Eksibisi Internasional. The companies will jointly organise a major event at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) and host three trade fairs on this date: in addition to the hardware fair, Interzum Jakarta and Indonesia's leading event for the woodworking industry, IFMAC Woodmac. This concept of parallel organisation follows the model of Guangzhou in southern China, where CIFF/Interzum Guangzhou and CIFM are jointly organised.

By bringing the events together, the entire value chain of furniture production in Indonesia will also be represented at one time and in one place in the future. Rounded off by a trade fair for hardware, this will create a central business and communication platform for the latest innovations, trends and technologies in the fields of furniture production, woodworking machinery and hardware, according to the organisers.

From 14 to 17 September 2024, an exhibition belonging to the Interzum brand family was held for the first time as part of IFFINA (Indonesia Meubel & Design Expo).

Southeast Asia is the fastest growing economic region in the world. Within this region, Indonesia is the largest market with a - comparatively young - population of 280 million people and an important centre for global furniture production, explains Koelnmesse. A specifically coordinated economic policy with extensive investments in modern production facilities and infrastructure as well as measures to restrict the export of raw materials additionally support the domestic furniture industry. The growing construction industry and rising sales in the DIY sector are also contributing to the positive market development.

Exhibitors and trade visitors from the entire region are expected to attend the premiere of the event in September 2025 – as things stand at present, more than 20,000 trade fair participants will come to Jakarta. Koelnmesse's Asia-Pacific division is headed by Mathias Küpper, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Pte. Ltd. in Singapore
