The Toolstation sales division of the British building materials trading group Travis Perkins increased its turnover by 1.7 per cent in the third quarter compared to the same period last year. On a like-for-like basis, growth amounted to 1.0 per cent. In the first nine months of the current year, Toolstation achieved an increase of 2.1 per cent, or 0.8 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
The quarterly report emphasises individual national markets. For example, an increase of 2.9 per cent is reported for the UK domestic market and a like-for-like increase of 9.6 per cent for the Benelux region.
According to the company, the withdrawal from France is proceeding according to plan. Eight stores were sold to Quincaillerie Angles, while the remaining 43 stores and the online shop have ceased trading.
