The British builders' merchant group Travis Perkins achieved a 2.5 per cent increase in turnover last year with its Toolstation sales division, which achieved sales of GBP 821 mio (EUR 982 mio). On a like-for-like basis, sales grew by 1.9 per cent.

However, the growth rates refer to figures that have been adjusted for the now discontinued business in France. As announced, Toolstation discontinued its activities there at the end of 2024. Only eight stores were sold to Quincaillerie Angles, while the remaining 43 locations were closed and the central functions dissolved.

The annual report for 2023 still shows total sales of GBP 826 mio (EUR 988 mio); the 2024 annual report states an adjusted figure of GBP 801 mio (EUR 958 mio) for 2023. De facto, sales have therefore fallen by 0.6 per cent.

Business in the Benelux sales region is also still not profitable, even though turnover has increased…
