Pete Redfern becomes the new boss of Travis Perkins

The British builders' merchant group Travis Perkins has a new director and CEO. Pete Redfern will take up the post on 16 September 2024. He succeeds Nick Roberts, who will step down on the same day.

Redfern brings over two decades of leadership, operational and financial experience in the construction sector, including 14 years as group chief executive of Taylor Wimpey plc until 2022. During his time at Taylor Wimpey, he oversaw the transformation of the company into one of the largest housebuilders in the UK.

The new CEO already knows the company, which includes the Toolstation sales division, well from a different perspective. He was a member of the board as a non-executive director for nine years until September 2023.
