As of 15 January, Dachser has taken over all shares in its Finnish joint venture Dachser Finland Oy. The logistics provider had founded the joint venture in Finland at the end of 2013 together with ACE Logistics Group; so far, both partners have held 50 percent of the shares. Now, Dachser has acquired all the shares in the joint venture and will fully integrate Dachser Finland Oy into its Nordic overland transport organisation, headed by Peter Hut, Managing Director Nordic European Logistics, the company announced in a press release. ‘This takeover will enable us to integrate our road logistics set-up in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway even more closely and ensure consistent organisational structures and processes in our overland transport network,’ explains Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at Dachser.

Just recently, the logistics experts invested in new branches in Aalborg (Denmark) and Kristiansand (Norway). Dachser is also moving into larger premises in Jönköping and Landskrona in Sweden. In addition, a new location in Tampere, Finland, is scheduled to go live in spring 2025. ‘Dachser Nordic is an important pillar of our network,’ Alexander Tonn emphasises. ‘By investing in Finland, we are strengthening the region and further enhancing our services for our customers, both locally and globally.’ Dachser employs around 1,800 staff in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.

In the Baltic states, Dachser has been working with its partner ACE Logistics Group, headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, for more than 25 years. ACE will remain a close partner of Dachser in the European overland transport network in the Baltic states and Ukraine, the company confirms.
