The European DIY Retail Association/Global Home Improvement Network (Edra/Ghin) announced that Sami Kiiski, President of Kesko’s Building and Technical Trade Division, has been appointed to the Edra/Ghin board.
Sami Kiiski, who was appointed President of Kesko’s Building and Technical Trade Division and a member of Group Management Board in April 2024, is an experienced Executive and holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Tampere.
Having joined the K group in 2020, he has held different executive roles in the various business spheres, including Senior Vice President in charge of Kesko’s leisure trade and most recently President of the Car Trade Division. Before joining Kesko, he worked, among other things, as CEO of Halti Oy. The previous division President Jorma Rauhala assumed the position of Kesko’s President and CEO on 1 February 2024.
Kesko is a Finnish listed trading sector company. Kesko operates in the grocery trade, the building and technical trade and the car trade. Its divisions and chains act in close cooperation with retailer entrepreneurs and other partners. Kesko has approximately 1,800 stores engaged in chain operations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
