The Austrian garden centre chain Bellaflora is a new retail member of the German industry association BHB. The company was founded in 1978 in Ennsdorf, Upper Austria, and is privately owned. With 27 garden centres in seven federal states and a city concept with two locations in Vienna, it is considered the market leader in the Austrian garden market. The company headquarter is located in Leonding near Linz. Bellaflora generates more than two thirds of its turnover with living greenery. Garden accessories and decorative items round off the product range, which includes an average of 25,000 items. The company has 550 employees, including 26 trainees. Managing Director Susanne Eidenberger is at the helm.
She says: “The decision to join the BHB represents another important step in the further development of Bellaflora. Through this cooperation, we can benefit from each other and respond even better to the challenges in our society and to the needs and wishes of our customers in the future.”
René Haßfeld, spokesperson for the BHB Board, comments on the new addition as follows: “The last few challenging years have shown how important it is for our industry to act together in order to make its voice heard, even in these volatile times. It is therefore important that strong retail members keep joining the BHB, which acts for the entire DACH region - we therefore particularly welcome the addition from and in Austria.”
Bellaflora's membership brings the number of BHB retail members to 25. 218 supporting members from industry and the service sector also currently belong to the DIY association.
