IPM Essen has ended with an increase in visitor numbers. Significantly more than 40,000 visitors came to the leading trade fair for the global horticultural industry in Essen (Germany). This is 11 per cent more than a year ago (36,000). The 1,434 exhibitors (2024: 1,403) from 45 (43) countries used the trade fair as a presentation platform.

According to the trade fair organiser, IPM Essen recorded a significant increase in visitors' sourcing and purchasing expertise. Around a quarter placed orders directly at the fair. Two thirds of visitors intend to place orders as a result of their visit to the fair.

In addition to gardeners and florists, the international visitors also included buyers from garden centre and DIY store chains, as well as food retailers. 44 per cent of the trade visitors came from abroad - an increase of 5 percentage points compared to the previous year. This included delegations from Turkey, Japan and Australia, for example.

The next IPM will take place in 2026 from 27 to 30 January at Messe Essen.
