This specialist manufacturer of flat-pack, self-assembly kitchens, which is based at Stemwede-Wehdem, offers standard carcass units from the starter segment on, and a high degree of flexibility and variety. Customers are faced with a choice of five base unit colours and 26 different door finishes – ranging from beech or birch wood effects, through to the aluminium look or trendy colours such as glacier blue and Aegean apple, as well as high-gloss lacquer in brilliant white. All facings are simply interchangeable as required. The company’s intention is to provide customers with scope for individual creative solutions by offering a broad selection of cabinets, tall larder units, worktops and accessories.
The system has modules ranging from the starter to the up-market segment.
The system offers flexible and variable modules for the modern self-assembly kitchen, right from the starter level to the up-market segment. “Standard” encompasses the entire range of facings. The drawer systems are fitted with brand-name partial extension systems throughout. The drawer system in the “Medium” range has extra stable, double-walled drawer boxes, and “Premium” comes complete with a high quality full extension system.
Optistar offers units in a choice of five carcass colours and 26 different door facings.
The design system has come up with new features that are intended to increase the durability of the furniture and make the process of assembly simpler. They include identical left and right sides for all new cabinets, which will put an end to mix-ups during installation. The provision of continuous holes allows for fixing the shelves at whichever height is required. What is more, the organisation of the interior space can be quickly altered as necessary. All hinges in the new programme have been changed to the simple, easy to manage clip technique. This makes assembly much less complicated by comparison with the screw-fixed hinges that were previously used.
As an autonomous company within the Poggenpohl group, Optifit has since the year 2000 been part of the Swedish company Nobia, which claims to be the biggest manufacturer of kitchens in Europe. More than a dozen famous kitchen brand names are to be found under the umbrella of the Scandinavian group of companies.
