Lighting effects, design and technology come together here. The designers and developers create a hypnotic, supernatural aesthetic with visual and illusory effects such as reflections, movement or colour glow.
The Light + Building trade fair in Frankfurt am Main from 3 to 8 March 2024 will once again provide a stage for this segment. The style agency Bora.Herke.Palmisano has identified three trends and will be presenting them in analyses, lectures and a special show in Hall 3.1. "The Light + Building Trends 2024_25 show a broad spectrum of resource-saving manufacturing techniques, durable materials, traditional handicrafts and modern, digital manufacturing technologies," the design experts announce.
Embrace Simplicity
This trend focuses on the growing popularity of soothing designs and calming creations. Lighting designs and material developments are always linked to a story. New design approaches open up the view for holistic considerations. The spotlight is on quality as well as natural resources, experiments with alternative materials, modern manufacturing technologies and a sense of utility and emotion.
The topic of energy supply is at least as important at the moment. In order to power homes that use regenerative energy sources, have efficient and economical energy management and at the same time offer comfort and safety, a suitable electrotechnical infrastructure is required. It is the foundation for home and building automation, energy storage and management, the integration of photovoltaic systems and charging stations as well as electricity-based heating. Solutions for this can be found in Halls 9, 11 and 12.
Create Uniqueness
Create Uniqueness is dedicated to the unique. Striking shapes, expressive surfaces, unconventional designs - living spaces look like a collection of artistic pieces.
