B&Q expands in Taiwan

Number of stores expected to rise to 22 in the next two years

B&Q intends to increase its store count in Taiwan to 22 by 2004.  According to an article in the latest issue of the trade journal DIY in Europe, which appears this week, the British company’s twelve stores on the island achieved sales of 221.8 mio euro in 2001. Reports on the European tour of the Taiwanese Minister for Economic Affairs, Lin Yi-fu, indicate that the number of B&Q stores in Taiwan is expected to increase to 30 in the next five years.
