Nearly a third from abroad

In a report on the 2003 financial year the Finnish Kesko group has confirmed the good results that had already been announced. These showed that the net sales of Rautakesko, the building materials and DIY division, came to € 995 mio. This amounts to growth of 35.4 per cent. Just under one third (32 per cent) of the total was contributed by subsidiary companies operating abroad. Their sales shot up by 147 per cent to € 319 mio. The rate of increase came to 11.6 per cent in the domestic market in Finland.
