Previous year's result almost matched

Heimtextil attracted 89 073 visitors to Frankfurt from 11 to 14 January. This means the fair almost matched the previous year's result of 90 346 visitors overall. The number of international visitors grew to 53 205 (previous year: 51 848), while the figure for domestic attendance went down to 35 868 (previous year: 38 498). Apart from Germany, the ten countries that were most strongly represented among the visitors were Italy, followed by the USA, Britain, Spain, Turkey, Greece, China, France, the Netherlands and Belgium/Luxembourg. The visitor total from Europe was up by 17 per cent, and from the USA by about 13 per cent. Altogether the visitors came from 124 countries. There were 2 810 exhibitors from 73 countries presenting their latest products at Heimtextil under the theme of "The art of home fashion".
