Jorkisch expands product range

This German specialist in timber for the garden is now offering a decorative wood care programme tailored to the company’s products

The timber wholesaler Jorkisch, headquartered in Daldorf, is marketing its new Color programme consisting of glazes, paints, primers and care oil, under the Joda brand name.
The low build glazes are suitable for wood panelling, fencing, carports and other structural elements made from timber. Light-fast, micronised iron oxide pigments absorb the UV light.
The company claims that the water-based glaze is characterised by very good weathering resistance and an excellent staining effect. Which is designed to preserve the wood and the character of the wood. The glazes are available in shades of larch, chestnut, pine, walnut and hazel. The shades can be mixed with each other.
Additional protection against blue stain can be achieved with a priming coat for thin glazes. The primer is transparent and quick drying.
The open-pored all-weather paint provides an opaque coat. It is free of any active biocidal ingredients, so suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It is available in shades of yellow, Swedish red, blue, moss green, real white and ivory. The palette of colours is going to be expanded next season, and all shades can be mixed with each other.
The “Grundierung weiss” primer provides additional protection for all-weather paint against blue stain out of doors. “Sperrgrund weiss” is a water-based undercoat available for timber indoors or out. It prevents discolouration resulting from the seepage of certain components out of the wood.
The wood care oil was developed for the initial treatment and repeat treatments of garden furniture and outdoor timber. A special wax combination prevents any penetration by water (the Hydroperl effect). The oil is available in one shade, Bankirai.
The company puts strong emphasis on environmental compatibility, not only with FSC and PEFC certification for timber as a raw material, but also by using the official “Blue Angel” symbol on its glazes and all-weather paints.
