Leroy Merlin is preparing to enter the South African market. The French DIY store chain, part of Groupe Adeo, is currently developing an organisational structure in the country. It plans to open its first store there in 2018, according to the South African Sunday Times. Cédric Sennepin was appointed CEO of Leroy Merlin South Africa in March 2016. He has worked for the company since 2006, latterly as Directeur Transformation Omnicanal. Patrick Gauthier, who joined Groupe Adeo last year as a finance director (foreign subsidiary), has been appointed CFO of the subsidiary in Johannesburg. The new subsidiary also has a logo and a Facebook page.
