Daniel Bernard steps down as Kingfisher chairman

Kingfisher is to get a new chairman of the board. Daniel Bernard, who has held the position for eight years and spent eleven years in all as a board member, will step down from the board at the annual general meeting in June 2017. His successor will be Andy Cosslett, who joins the board on 1 April as a non-executive director and chairman-designate. Among other postings, Cosslett was CEO of the Inter Continental Hotels Group for six years and of Fitness First from 2012 to 2015. Since 2015 he has also been operating partner for Advent International.
